Dear business owners required to capture COVID contacts for tracing purposes,
RE: COVID Management Plan
Many venues have just reopened after COVID-19 lockdowns.
As part of the reopening they need a COVID Management Plan under the Emergency Management Act 2004 (SA).
It mandates them to obtain and retain each patron/attendee’s contact details for potential contact tracing.
Like my ice hockey club that has just reopened, venues have multiple sub-locations, like change rooms, that require sign-in multiple times.
Australian Public health departments suggest a paper form to do this, but adds a physical distribution and collection and storage element as well.
On top of trying to get back-to-business, this is a lot of administration burden.
My name is Orren Prunckun and I am an Adelaide-based innovator, who amongst many other things, lectures at university level in innovation and I have built the world’s first petrol price predictor.
Because my ice hockey club needs to do record keeping for contact tracing, in mid May 2020 as announcements were made about this requirement, I started creating a contactless, paperless solution for businesses to meet this compliance without pen and paper.
A few weeks of long-nights coding, I finally launched How Capture Covid Contact™
How Capture Covid Contact™ Works At Your Venue...
Here is how easy it is for attendees to register at your venue…
- The attendee scans a QR code on a poster in the venue or enters the URL displayed on the same poster if attendees don't have a QR code reader;
- The QR code/URL directs the attendee to the venue’s unique register mobile web page;
- Attendee enters their first name, last name, phone number email address and submits. A date /time stamp down to the minute and second, sub-location where the poster is displayed, and the attendee’s IP Address is also saved to their registration automatically. If attendees needed to register more than one person, the confirmation screen allows them to do so and step 3 is repeated. If there is a register issue, error trapping gives them a notification to see staff to register and staff enters details on their behalf at (contactless/contact reduced); and
- Attendee is registered and information is saved securely to the database.
A description only does so much!
